I desperately need help finding someone that can restore this antique clock that I have inherited. It is from the Ansonia Clock Company NY. It is a Mahopac. It is a blue and white delft mantle clock.

Under the dial/window door is some browning to the porcelain. It does not wipe off. I have talked to some clock repair people and they said that oil has probably leaked in behind the glazing. Who and where can I get this fixed with?

Here are the pictures. FYI...They are high res so they are very large files.

Typical ceramic and porcelin paints/glazes are actually fired in a kiln to produce the final finish - so I am not certain there is a fix. You may want to visit a local ceramic shop (if you have one near) to see what they might recommend. You can also try searching for shops to contact over the internet (try to contact a few to get as many opinions on the matter as possible). Someone more knowledgeable than I could probably tell you if a fix is even an option. Perhaps the finish could be touched up and the case re-fired. Note: If the case should have to be re-fired (if it even can be re-fired), this might require removing the clock mechanism and dial completely from the casing. Just some thoughts...
