Post subject: Possible for me to fix an ordinary battery clock???
Hello, yes I have an ordinary battery but pretty clock taking one "C" battery. It worked for quite a few years without problem, even with the same battery! but recently it only works for a few minutes (when I shake it a little or for no reason, and not always) then stops. I did put in a new battery a couple of months ago.
This clock was given to me by a friend who made clocks as a hobby and now passed away, so I'd like to keep it if it's some simple repair I can do. I understand it's difficult for anyone to know what to tell me to do at a distance, especially since it isn't an interesting clock technically speaking... but I thought I'd try.
The clock is made of an attractive wooden board 8" square and 3/4" thick, with a metal box around 3" square on the back where the battery is (and I'm sure there's stuff inside?). I looked for screws or something but saw nothing; maybe it's glued?
If anyone thinks there's something simple I can do to make it run again, I'll appreciate it a lot letting me know. Thanks ever so much for any suggestions.

You will have to replace the battery movement with another. Certaintely not hard to do. The movement is held on with a nut that holds it onto the board, if you remove it you can replace it.
