Post subject: Possible to use watch battery in clock kit?
Hi - I want to recycle a clear plastic iced-coffee cup into a clock. I have experience with clock kits and movements, but since this is clear I had the idea of hanging it in my window so the scenery is still visible. I would prefer not to have a (even "clear") traditional clock movement, because it's so large and will block the view. I'm wondering whether it would be possible to use a watch movement for the clock, since those are so much smaller? Can anyone direct me?
Thanks!

well I would imagine that that would be possible but you still will have an inch of dark where the movement would go and you would have extreemly small hands for a clock. Unforutunately I think you will have to go with a mini clock movement and live with the dark spot of the movement....... unless someone else has another idea.

You could use th movement from a $10.00 ladies wrist watch like you get in the mall. They all have the the same small movement an some of the watches are quite large with long hands.
