Post subject: quartz movement
I recently purchased a chiming quartz movement with a pendulum. I easily installed it in my clock and put the battery into it. The chime and pendulum work fine but the hands do not seem to move at all. Is this something i am doing or is it normal. I just want my clock to work. thanks for any advice.

the centre fixing nut (if fixed this way) may be tight on the hour wheel. check if the hour hand has a bit of free movement.
