I need to purchase a quartz chiming pendulum movement for a schoolhouse clock. The problem is that I need to have the pendulum hook set back at least an inch or more from the face of the movement to provide the necessary clearance for the pendulum. Klockit used to sell a movevement (20 years ago) that had a deep setback but it is no longer available. Any suggestions?

This is probably what you are looking for, check out M47 on page 11-68 of the PDF.

They have a couple others that may work for you as well.

Actually, we used a long shaft movement on Klockit's older schoolhouse clock (last offered around the year 2001). We used a movement with a maximum dial thickness of 3/4", and made certain the pendulum set back was an additonal 1/2" (+) from the front of the movement. A quick spacer block to mount behind the dial board (and help support the movement), and we were in buisiness!
