Post subject: Regulator 13037 runs slow
I have a Regulator 13037 that I purchased from Klockit that runs slow even after adjusting the pendulum to the maximum upper thread. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

If the movement is older, the first thing to consider is whether or not the movement has been oiled and/or cleaned at regular intervals. This could be the issue (especially if the movement was running normally for years prior). Build up of dust and/or loss of lubrication can result in inaccurate timekeeping. My understanding, as a general rule of thumb, is that mechanical movements should be oiled every 1-2 years and cleaned every 3–5.
If the movement is newer, remember that you need to allow 24 hours in between each pendulum adjustment. One full turn of the rating nut should equal about 1 minute in a 24 hour time period. After making an adjustment to the rating nut, remember to make note of the time after 24 hours. From that point, you may make further adjustments as required. Make certain the case/movement are mounted level as well.
If these general tips do not help, then I can offer an additional suggestion. Ultimately, the best advice would be to contact one of our mechanical technicians (1-800-556-6474). If you should have to leave a message, please make certain to leave your name and phone number (a call will be returned within 24 hours). They can assist with troubleshooting to help pin point the cause of the problem and pose plausible solutions.
