removing movment

I have an old eight day mechanical clock with a very good movement but it needs a new case. do I have to break up the old case to remove the movement it is one of the old half circle cases, any help would be appreciated.

Most of these are removed easily with a screwdriver and a pair of pliers. Use the pliers to remove the minute hand nut or pin (whichever it has). Then remove the hour hand by pulling on it or prying ot off with the screwdriver. With the screwdriver, remove the screws that hold in the movement (usually four, one at each corner) of the movement.
