I recently helped my mom move. In the process, her clock was dropped and the hands broke off. I was able to pull out the shaft so I could measure it. It is about 3/4 of a inch threaded length and 1/4 inch in diameter. The original unit took a AA battery and measures 2 3/16" by 2 3/16". The longest hand is 3". The clock itself is from the early 70s. It was handmade and is a cross section of a Cypress tree. I have put together very basic plastic clock kits before but never anything this in depth. I need new brass hands and a new movement. Any advice on what I need to buy, where to buy it, and links to instructions on how to install it once I get it, would be very appreciated. This clock means the world to her and I would really like to get it working again. Thanks in advance! Smile

Hello,

Movement assembly instructions (generalized) can be found by the following link:

http://www.klockit.com/products/dept-142__sku-Helpful%20Hint%20-%20movement.html

In regard to a movement recommendation, I would say a #10004 (Klockit stock number). Hands will come free with the purchase of any quartz movement, so I would recommend picking out an extra set of hands with a 3" minute hand length (just in case the originals should not work with the new movement).
