Post subject: Roy Rogers Figural Clock
Hi - I have a neat - i think cast iron - Roy Rogers Figural Clock (Movie Actor/Radio Star). The body is in great condition. The clock, however, cannot be original. It has an animated trio of Revolutionary War marchers. Does anyone know where I can find the original clock for the body? Thank you.

I assume that the Revolutionary war figures are on the dial of the clock. Where is the rest of the decoration, if any, found? Are you quite certain that it is cast iron? Many of these novelty clocks, particularly of the Roy Rogers and other western movie star vintage were often of the alarm clock variety and had stamped metal cases, since they were aimed at the younger generation and for that reason were made to sell for a low price.
Your only hope of finding an original movement to fit the case is to haunt flea markets, antique shops and/or eBay.
