Like a previous posting, I have a mantle clock that has a timing issue. It had stopped working and cleaning it up some has got it working again but it runs VERY fast as in gaining a couple of minutes ...

Now what???

The main spring measures 16.92 mm wide, .40 mm thick, Approx. 39" or 40" long (it is broken in several pieces) and the diameter is 34.5 mm.

I don't find a very good match ...

I used your advice and was able to remove the works from the case. I was also able to remove the offending spring assembly.
