Post subject: Seth Thomas #124, Chime 91 pendulum question
Hi Everybody,
I picked-up a Seth Thomas clock, movement #124, Chime #91.
Question: How much should the pendulum bob weigh?
It doesn't have a bob, I need to know the weight so I can buy the correct one.
Thank you

Many Seth Thomas clocks had a pendulum bob weighing in around 2.5 oz. e.g. most of their kitchen series and the #89 movements used the "boy-on-a-fence" pendulum which is still being reproduced today.
However, I believe that the #124 westminster chime movement used a slightly heavier pendulum weighing approximately 4 oz.

Anyone... This is a Seth Thomas movement #124, tambour style clock, westminster chime.
If anyone has one of these would you be kind enough to weigh the bob and tell me how much it weighs?
