Seth Thomas Cuckoo??

Working on a clock that I found at a garage sale and the movement inside says made in Germany in the center and up the left side it says For Seth Thomas Clock. Ever heard of such a thing? I have tried to look up seth thomas cuckoo on google but to no avail. Thanks in advance for your help!

Seth Thomas imported cuckoo clocks as well as other clocks and movements to be sold under their brand name in North America. Certainly they had little to do with the actual manufacture of these clocks, but were merely offering them as part of their catalog. The caption "for Seth Thomas clock" is the clue.

A close inspection of the movement might indicate who the real manufacturer of your clock was. For example, Hubert Herr and Regula are two of the largest cuckoo clock makers in Germany and could easily have custom branded the clock for ST.
