Shipping & adhesives!

H i there

As i am new to clock making any advise you are able to offer me is appreciated.
The first query is can you suggest an adhesive for gluing a quartz clock battery operated clock to a cd /dvd and the old vinyl records. (I am also going to attempt attaching a clock movement to a hub cap!)

The shipping query is to ask if you offer discounts for shipping overseas as I live in Australia and so far have clocked up (oops no pun intended) a $40.00 shipping on products totalling $29.00!

Note that the hex nut will serve as an initial means of securing the quartz clock movement (unless the movement would not have threading at the base of the center shaft). This will not, typically, keep the movement from being able to rotate. Additional means of securing the movement can be implemented. Double stick foam tape (cut into a disc with a center through hole for the center shaft) can work. Other clock builders have used hot glue (just a couple of dabs on either side of the movement). Both of these methods render the movement fairly easy to replace if the movement should ever need replacing.

In regard to shipping, I would suggest calling (or e-mailing Klockit directly) and asking for a quotation. It never hurts to ask.
