hello
i have an origional enfield westminster chimer(1940..1950) everything works very well except for the chime...it tends to run out of steam not long after i have wound up the clock say after two days it sterts to slow down after say four days just makes full chime and no more(driving me insane)This has been going on now for a long time would like to remedy problem....is it because the springs are getting tired or are they needing some sort of lubrication has anybody got any ideas Question

has the clock been cleaned, and oiled within the past couple years? If not this could be the problem. It also could also have bushing wear.
