Hi I am in need of some advice on a granddaughter clock we have inherited.

The clock keeps great time and this is fine, however every 15 mins you can hear a distinctive click sound, My wife then said that the clock used to chime and she remembers this from when she was a child, the clock was her grandmothers.

So as you do I goggled the make of clock to see what information I could find on restoring the chime.

The clock seems to have 2 silence bars at each side these are away from the hammers to disable any silence mode.

I moved onto the weights as I read that the heavy weight is to be on the right hand side, When I done this the clock began to chime... Great.... But it did not stop there it keeps going and going and does not stop.

I would be very grateful if some one on this forum could give me some advice on what could be the cause of the problem or even a solution.

Best Regards and many thanks in advance.

Chris
