i own this clock i want to know first if a real thomas tompion london becuase this clock looks in very good condition and as far i know thomas tompion clock were made in 1700 if someone has some information and you want to share i will appreciate thanks so much...

FAKE.

the mechanism is a modern one probably made by Hermle.

Hi,

A lot of modern clock makers put Tho Tompion on the clock dials as he is considered the best London clockmaker of all time. He made most of the clock himself not liking to trust the quality of workmanship to outside contractors. A real thomas Tompion clock would fetch a small fortune. I have one of his verge pocket watch movements, just the movement, which alone is worth probably a mid 4 figure sum.

I would concur that the mechanism looks a little too modern...
