I have an inexpensive, oriental design, round clock that I bought for my Master Bathroom. It takes a AA battery. IT TICKS loudly and it's echoing in my bathroom and keeping me awake at night. I usually take it off the wall and put it in the closet at night. <Nighty night clock>

Is there any way I can stop the ticking? Can you remove the second hand to stop this? This is a beautiful clock and goes great with my decor.

you could put it on the floor and put a hammer through it - that will stop it ticking. Laughing

Clocks are meant to tick.

Being more helpful - you could get the movement changed to a quieter one perhaps. Very Happy

Continuous sweep quartz movements tend to be a bit more quiet than the standard (step-sweep) counter-parts. You may wish to look into the continuous sweep movements as a possible option.
