Post subject: Tochigi Tokei clock works
I have an old clock with a Tochigi Tokei Quartz pendulum movement. It makes a tic-toc sound when pendulum swings. the pendulum quit and I need another movement that makes this same sound. Can you help me.

Any style of quartz pendulum movement could potentially work (as quartz movements are extrememly versitile in this nature). The ticking sound for most quartz movements actually comes from the internal gearing of the movement itself (and not the pendulum). This is indicative of step sweep second hand clocks (where the second hand does not rotate continuously around, but instead stops at each second mark interval).
I would suggest removing the original movement from the case. You will want a measurement of your clock face thickness (to inlcude any board it could be mounted to), as well as interior case dimensions (to ensure the replacement movement will fit). A pendulum bob diameter measurement would also be helpful. Note that with the movement in hand, you can also contact Klockit for assistance in determining the best replacement for your current movement. Our staff can guide you through dimensional verification to ensure that the replacement movement would work with your existing case.
