Post subject: Vienna Regulator Grand Sonnerie 3 weight wall clock
We have a Grand Sonnerie 3 weight wall clock about 4 feet long. We tried to start the pendulum but it would not start. Does anyone know about the pendulum mechanism and how to tell if it is attached correctly. The chimes work.

there are two main types of pendulum attachment.
One is hung from the suspension pinned to the metal bracket screwed to the case. the rod from the mechanism then goes through the hole/slot and drives the pend.
the other is attached again by pin to the top back of the mech and driven by the same method.
