Post subject: Wall Clocks - Functional and Fun
Everyone enjoys adding personal touches to their home. A wall clock is both an effective way to keep track of time in different rooms and at the same time a great way to indulge in some self expression. A clock shouldn't just be whatever random item you picked up at the local store. Instead, the clock should accentuate the room and become a conversation piece for all your guests. Nothing validates a design decision better than someone complimenting you on how lovely a particular piece is or how well it goes with the feel of the room.
Picking which kitchen wall clock you want can be the toughest decision. Many people want their kitchen to be warm and welcoming; they want the room to create those feelings of home from when we were a kid and mom served us a warm bowl of soup on a cold day. Picking an older wooden wall clock would be a good choice in this instance as it will add that classic look to your kitchen. You may also want to look at cuckoo clocks as many of us have memories of the fairly silly one that we had when we were a kid, whether it was a loud bird or dancing dolls that came out to tell us the hour.
The choice to have a more modern kitchen is an option that generally involves digital wall clocks. Finding a very stylish and contemporary digital wall clock is a great way to keep the upscale and futuristic look of your kitchen. The options of an atomic clock exist as well for trying to keep that ultramodern look of polished steel. Using an LED or neon clock can keep the kitchen looking upscale as well as a bit funky. Wrought iron large clocks can also look more innovative and move away from the retro looks of most kitchens.
Whether you are looking for the warm feel of kitchen wall clocks or a large clock to be the center piece of the room, you can pick through the countless choices available at most online stores. Once there, you will be able to find a clock that gives your kitchen the unique feel that you seek. The prices for clocks are as varied as the styles, which allows you to find a clock that fits perfectly into your budget and still represents the emotion and design aspect that you're after.

I agree they are functional and they are good for the work place but they don't look so nice in a home.
What you need is a good old style clock like a grandfather clock. Just look at them, they would look good in any and every house
