I have a clock missing the weights and pendulum. How do you determine the correct weight and pendulum size for a weight driven clock? The chain has 3 & 1/2 links per inch if that helps. Thanks SM

i'm afraid we need more information.

is it an antique or reproduction?
a lot of repro's are Hermle movements - have a look at the back plate to see if a name is on it and any numbers and/or letter.

Antique, the plates are wooden the gears cast brass about 3/32 to 1/8 inch thick. The pinions are wire. All the moving parts are set in brass bushings. The dial is a handpainted shield. There are two penciled notes on the back of the back plate that indicate repair, one dated 12,24,36 and the other 12,24,38, There are no maker marks that I can find anywhere. Thanks sm

sounds like a postmans alarm clock or a similar type and i can't think of the name they call it offhand.

do a search for postmans wall clock and you will come up with pictures of what they should look like.

Trouble is getting hold of that type and maybe fleabay can help.
