Post subject: Westclox Baby Ben replacement key
I don't know anything about clocks or repairing them, but I have a working 1970s baby ben alarm clock that has sentimental value but no key. I took an old 1940s ships clock to my local repairer for a new key, so I brought the baby ben along too. He found a key (Has a 6 stamped on it) for the ship's clock but not the ben.
I can't find any mention of these keys anywhere. They are screw type ones like a lot of alarm clocks but they seem to be a little wider than current mechanical alarm clocks. Where can I get one, or how can I bodge something together?
as you are on the internet try ebay or ask someone you know who buys from ebay to search for one. they are becoming collectable so may be harder to find the more you wait.
try boot fairs, markets and any kind of second hand dealers.
i may even have one in my own stock - i'll have a look if don't get one let me know.
