Post subject: Where to go to identify an antique mantel clock...?
I have an antique metal mantel clock that I inherited. It seem to be in a baroque French style.. cast metal..., and has what appears to be a signiture on the back.
Where would be the best forums to go to help identify this clock?
Any suggestions?
Can images be posted to this forum....?
Thanks

There are a few different routes you could go.
1.) Check into books in regard to antique clock assemblies and their value. "Warman's American Clocks Field Guide" or "Antique Trader Clocks Price Guide" may offer more information.
2.) Take the assembly to an antique dealer to have it appraised
3.) Continue to post within clockmaking or clock collecting forums.
I do not know how to add a photo to a post, but I do know that you can provide a link to a photo within your post. This way, you could post photos on a free site (ex: Flicker) and simply provide the link to your photos.
