I have a large number of old used CD and DVD disks. I would like to use them as clock faces but I am strictly a newbie at this. Can anyone advise me as to the least expensive battery operated clock mechanism that would fit behind the face of the disk, which shaft and retaining nut and what I can use as a stand.

Appreciate any help and advice.
Thank you,
Paul

You can check with Klockit to see if length shaft movement would go with the CD stand, a 1/4 length may work.

These movements have exactly the right length shaft and hands and a centre slot nut, not a simple hex nut as others supply. We also supply our own unique slanted desk stand to display at the perfect angle, not cheap 'plate' stands that make your cd clock fall over if you breathe on it !
