I have an old wall clock that you wind with a key; the trouble is once wound the hands move really fast sort of like watching an atomic clock adjust itself. Any clock experts out there have any idea what the problem could be?

The escape wheel and or escape pallets are damaged, missing or too high .

The pendulum must have a very small swing if any.

It needs professional help.

what are the numbers on the back of the clock movement. It may be best to buy a new movement. You can call me if you would like more help.
